Government Bills in the 2017-2019 Parliament

Government Bills are laid by the Government to enact legislative goals communicated during the Queen's Speech.

They are allocated Government time in the House of Commons and utilise programme motions to achieve a timely passage through the Commons. If you wish to contribute your view on a Government bill to your MP, it will be more likely to have an impact if made early in the bill process.
