To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many transgender prisoners received into prison in the last 12 months were placed in the vulnerable prisoner unit in the (a) male and (b) female estate.

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether his Department is responsible for signing-off pay levels at the Information Commissioner's Office; and whether his Department objected to payments made to senior executives in 2014.

The Information Commissioner is responsible for determining the pay and conditions of his staff and in doing so must comply with the principles of Managing Public Money and Civil Service Pay Guidance. The Information Commissioner has sought and has received the appropriate approvals from the Ministry of Justice and The Treasury.

The procurement process for an external provider for compliance and enforcement services is bound by commercial confidentiality and as such specifics relating to the preferred bidder’s solution detailed in the project’s business case cannot be shared.

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what payment methods will be available for people to pay fines, compensation and other charges imposed by the criminal courts under the contract for that service with a private provider.

The contract for compliance and enforcement services has not yet been awarded. The payment methods available for people to pay financial impositions will be agreed once a contract has been awarded.

The department is committed to enforcing as many criminal financial impositions as possible. Working with an external provider would bring the necessary investment, technology and innovation to build on the improvements already made by HMCTS.
