To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, if he will estimate the number and proportion of businesses which have access to high-speed broadband in Brighton, Kemptown constituency.

According to the data published by Ofcom in 2013 (http://maps.ofcom.org.uk/broadband/) superfast broadband availability in Brighton and Hove stood at 95% of premises. A breakdown is not provided of the coverage split between residential and business premises.

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, if he will estimate the total amount of money awarded to good causes by the National Lottery in (a) Brighton, Kemptown constituency and (b) Brighton and Hove.

Data supplied by the National Lottery distributors shows that 772 grants of Lottery money to the value of £29,292,517 have been made in Brighton Kemptown constituency, and that 2,965 grants to value of £155,105,953 have been made in the Brighton and Hove local authority area.

In the last Parliamentary session (2013-14) the number of replies to members of parliament stood at 5,860. As a rule the Department sends all responses by e-mail unless specifically requested otherwise by the Member of Parliament. We do not keep separate records of how many were sent by post compared to e-mail.

I meet with a number of stakeholders to discuss their concerns. These stakeholders include problem gambling charities, faith groups and the Gambling Commission. The Government also received a number of representations from the charity sector to its 2013 consultation on the Triennial Review of Gaming Machine Stake and Prize Limits.
