Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what consideration was given to the findings of the inspection of Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre, published on 20 May 2015, in making the decision to award new contracts for the running of that centre.

The procurement process for the operation of both Rainsbrook STC and Medway STC was undertaken objectively and transparently against the published evaluation criteria and in accordance with the published evaluation booklet that was signed up to by bidders as part of the procurement process.
