Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what criteria were used to award the contracts for running Rainsbrook and Medway secure training centres.

Tenders to run Rainsbrook and Medway secure training centres were evaluated using a standard approach balancing quality and price. This included criteria relating to the quality of proposals for custodial services, property and facilities management, mobilisation and ICT.
