Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 20 of the NAO report on the Equipment Plan 2022 to 2032, HC 907, published on 29 November, what assessment he has made of the impact of the decision not to purchase additional A400M aircraft on the UK's air transportation capability after the retirement of the C-130J Hercules in June 2023.

The Ministry of Defence remains committed to growing the Atlas A400M fleet which, following the retirement of the aging Hercules C-130J, will provide the RAF with a modern and capable fleet of transport aircraft for the Air Mobility Force.
