Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what is the expected (a) initial and (b) full operating capability is of the Mine Hunting Capability.
This question was answered on 13th December 2022
At Initial Operating Capability, currently expected to be achieved in 2025, we expect to have three Mine Countermeasures Maritime Autonomous Systems (MCM MAS) and one Mine Countermeasures Offshore Support Vessel.
Full Operating Capability is expected to be achieved by the end of 2034 and, while based on MCM MAS, specifications have yet to be fully defined.
