Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the total (a) acquisition cost and (b) estimated life-cycle cost of the A400M Atlas transport aircraft programme is.
This question was answered on 13th December 2022
The current total provision for acquisition of the A400M Atlas fleet for the Royal Air Force is £2.6 billion.
The estimated whole life cost for the current fleet is £7.2 billion, up to the planned out-of-service date.
