Claimants who migrate from Tax Credits to Universal Credit will have to make a new claim to Universal Credit. Tax Credit claimants with three children or more who migrate from Tax Credits to Universal Credit will continue to receive additional support for the same number of children or qualifying young persons, so long as they make a new claim to Universal Credit within six months of leaving Tax Credits and remain responsible for the same children or qualifying young persons.
