Type 45 Destroyers: Guided Weapons

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to his Department’s news story entitled Navy Missile System used to destroy Red Sea drones to be upgraded, published on 21 January 2024, what the initial operating capability date is for the enhancements to the Type 45 destroyers Sea Viper missile system.
This question was answered on 30th January 2024
On current plans the Initial Operating Capability for the Sea Viper Evolution on T45 destroyers is February 2028.
The first in class to receive the upgrades to its Sea Viper Evolution has not yet been nominated.
