Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many warrants of arrest have been (a) issued by HM Courts and Tribunals Service and (b) executed by civilian enforcement officers in each of the last three years.
The table below illustrates the total numbers of arrest warrants issued to HMCTS Civilian Enforcement Officers, the police and the Approved Enforcement Agencies to be executed during each of the last three years.
| 2016/2017 | 2015/2016 | 2014/2015 |
Financial arrest | 145,373 | 207,322 | 213,773 |
Community Penalty Breach Warrant | 20,266 | 16,736 | 17,317 |
Total | 165,639 | 224,058 | 231,090 |
It is not possible to identify and calculate how many of these warrants of arrest were specifically executed by civilian enforcement officers in any specific year without incurring disproportionate costs.
