Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what the timetable is for the publication of the outcome of the Judicial Mandatory Retirement Age consultation.
This question was answered on 9th November 2020
The Judicial Mandatory Retirement Age consultation closed on 16 October. Over 1000 responses were received from the magistracy, the judiciary and the legal profession and analysis of the responses is underway. We intend to publish the Government’s response to the consultation in the near future, with a view to legislate for any changes we decide to make at the earliest opportunity.
