Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 24 July 2017 to Question HL863, what the reasons were for the delays to the Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme; and when that programme will be completed.
This question was answered on 17th November 2017
The fleet size and manufacturing contract are subject to ongoing negotiations, and the investment decision will be based on confirmation of value for money through the Ministry of Defence approvals process. Manufacture timing and numbers will also be dependent on proving the design through trials, which will start in January 2018 and are planned to be completed in 2020.
