Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether Jonathan Powell attended the meeting on 23 July 2024 between the Mauritian Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary.

Mr Powell was appointed as the Prime Minister's Special Envoy in early August 2024. All activities undertaken by him in that role were conducted appropriately and in line with established procedures.
