Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 3 February to Question 136506 on Claro Barracks: Closures, how much of the investment his Department is making in the defence estate will be spent on the maintenance of Claro Barracks until 2026.
This question was answered on 20th February 2023
None of the £5.1 billion investment programme will be spent on the maintenance of Claro Barracks. The maintenance of the military estate is a separate budget to the Defence Estate Optimisation investment in more modern and sustainable facilities.
