At the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, DFID committed to using UK aid to help tackle the problem of marine plastic pollution, including in our partner countries in Africa. DFID is currently developing programmes to provide up to £28 million to tackle plastics pollution, with a focus on solid waste management and sustainable manufacturing.
