Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps the Chief Medical Officer is taking to tackle air pollution problems following his speech at the Clean Air Summit in London on Thursday 17 February 2022.

The Chief Medical Officer’s 2022 annual report will focus on evidence for potential solutions to reduce the public health impacts of air pollution and offer recommendations based on this evidence. The report is due to be published in summer 2022.
