Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the status is of Project Ark Royal.
This question was answered on 5th March 2024
The Royal Navy continually assesses its capabilities to maximise their effectiveness. Project Ark Royal refers to longstanding exploratory work to ensure that the Queen Elizabeth Class Carriers are compatible with future aircraft types.
There are no current plans to adapt the Carriers as a result of this work and therefore no formal costings are associated.
