Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what is the (a) size in hectares and (b) Housing Unit Potential of Merville Barracks.
This question was answered on 7th March 2023
It is not possible to separate Kirkee Barracks, McMunn Barracks and Merville Barracks as they form part of the wider Colchester Garrison, therefore their combined size in hectares is 254.834.
No assessment has been made of the Housing Unit Potential of these sites, as they have not been identified for disposal.
