The Chief Social Worker for Children and Families provides independent expert advice to the department on children’s social care issues and social work reform. She was a key contributor to the development of our departmental strategy, ‘Putting Children First’, which was published in 2016. She is closely involved in the implementation of this strategy, which sets out our ambitious children’s social care reform agenda.
