Education providers use feedback from learners to improve the relevance and quality of educational programmes. Learner feedback is requested at the end of each course, and feeds into the quality assurance process. A needs analysis is undertaken annually, and is used to inform the curriculum design for the establishment. In addition, “Learner Voice” is a co-operative approach between teachers and learners to include shared decision-making and evaluation of educational content, to drive improvement and progress. This is carried out regularly, through “Learner Walks” (classroom observations), Learner Voice surveys, learner focus groups and a peer mentor structure.
