Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, when he plans to announce the preferred bidder for the New Medium Helicopter contract.

Credible suppliers were informed on 24 February 2023 that the second half of the competition will be launched later this year. It is not appropriate to speculate on any further dates before the second stage of the competition is launched.
