Prisons: Pepper Spray

Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, in which prisons his Department plans to introduce PAVA incapacitant spray.
This question was answered on 24th May 2023
The planned roll-out of PAVA to the public sector estate has been completed and is available to staff in all adult male prisons. Privately managed prisons holding adult males have the option to roll out PAVA to their staff.
There are 92 prisons that have been equipped with PAVA.
