Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 24 May 2023 to Question 185406 on Prisons: Restraint Techniques, if he will set a target date for publication of national use of force statistics.
This question was answered on 7th June 2023
The department continues to work towards publication of national use of force statistics. In order to publish the data, we must ensure it meets minimum standards and be robust for the purpose of its intended use and scrutiny. This is be considered alongside other priorities for data publication, and therefore there is not firm date for publication.
