F-35 Aircraft: Procurement

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Answer of 19 May 2022 to Question 1104, whether his Department still plans to purchase more F-35 aircraft.

48 F-35B Lightning aircraft are on contract, and the UK has funded plans to increase the fleet to 74 aircraft with its Tranche 2 procurement. We will make decisions on further purchases beyond the 74 around the middle of the decade.
