Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the (a) roles and (b) responsibilities are of his Department's Cost Assurance and Analysis Service.

The Cost Assurance and Analysis Service (CAAS) provides a range of independent cost management services across the Ministry of Defence (MOD) linking in through the acquisition system. CAAS also provides financial assurance to the MOD Director General Finance.
