Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, when he expects to deliver the Mobile Fires Platform Programme.
This question was answered on 25th July 2023
The Mobile Fires Platform is still planned to achieve Initial Operating Capability in 2029, and Full Operating Capability in 2032. However, options are being scoped to accelerate the procurement process where possible.
The Archer 6x6 artillery systems will remain in service as an interim capability until the Mobile Fires Platform enters service.
