Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much investment his Department has allocated to R and D programmes in (a) AI, (b) engineering biology, (c) semiconductors and (d) quantum for the Spending Review period.
This question was answered on 5th September 2023
Defence will invest over £6.6 billion in Research and Development over this Spending Review period, which will include investment in AI, engineering biology, semiconductor and quantum technologies.
