Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what estimate his Department has made of the cost of the 2024 Armed Forces Pay Review Body settlement for this financial year.

The 2024 Armed Forces Pay Review Body settlement for this financial year provides an effective pay increase of between 9.7% for the most junior ranks and 5.8% for officers at one-star rank. This equates to an average pay increase of around 7.5% across military personnel. We have ensured this is affordable through reprioritising spending within the existing Defence budget.
