Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many staff officers of his Department were seconded to UN missions in each financial year from 2010-11 to 2013-14.
This question was answered on 17th November 2014
From 2010 to 2014 the UK was assigned approximately 27 seconded staff officer posts within the UN system. Due to the differing tour lengths of each post and personnel overlaps it has not proven possible to provide an accurate number of personnel deployed in each post on an annual basis.
