Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the average cost was of providing basic training to new regular recruits to (a) the Army, (b) the Royal Navy and (c) the Royal Air Force in each of the last three years.

This information is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost. However, for the cost of Army phase one and phase two training in each of the last three years I refer the hon.
