Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the average pay is of locally employed catering staff at RAF Akrotiri; and if he will make a statement.
This question was answered on 16th December 2014
All of RAF Akrotiri's locally employed catering staff are employed as part of the Cyprus Multi-Activity Contract, which is held by Sodexo. The Ministry Of Defence does not set the rate of pay which contactors pay their staff. The terms of the contract are commercially sensitive and I am withholding this information as its disclosure would prejudice commercial interests.
