To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how long HMS Anson has been in a construction phase.

AUDACIOUS commenced manufacture in 2007 and is expected to enter sea trials later this year. ANSON commenced manufacture in 2010 and is expected to enter sea trials in the early 2020s. The planned in-service dates for Royal Navy submarines are withheld as disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces.
