Prisons: Smoking

Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, for what reason the National Offender Management Service suspended the pilot scheme to ban cigarette smoking on the prison estate.
This question was answered on 2nd February 2015
Planning for implementation of a smoke free policy continues and this will include consideration of implementing arrangements at some early adopter sites instead of pilot arrangements.
