In the 2014 People Survey, 70% of Ministry of Defence (MOD) respondents declaring a long-standing physical or mental health condition, illness, impairment or disability responded that they were treated fairly at work. Of those who declared that they did not have such a condition or disability, the figure was 82%.

In the same survey 19% of MOD respondents who declared a long-standing physical or mental health condition, illness, impairment or disability responded that they had personally experienced bullying or harassment during the last 12 months. Of those who declared that they did not have a long-standing condition or disability, the figure was 9%.
