Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many people were referred by their GP for a Dyspraxia assessment in each of the last ten years; how many of those assessments resulted in a diagnosis of Dyspraxia; and the average length of time between GP referral and diagnosis was in that same time period.

The information requested on referrals for a dyspraxia assessment is not collected centrally.

We have made no assessment of the efficacy of the route to diagnosis for dyspraxia in adults. Arrangements for referrals for diagnosis of dyspraxia are a matter for local determination with services commissioned by clinical commissioning groups to meet local need.
