Discussions on improving access to tranexamic acid for women with post-partum haemorrhage continue. It is unacceptable that 830 mothers still die in pregnancy and childbirth every day. Tranexamic acid is a powerful tool to manage the severe bleeding that causes many of these deaths. We are supporting the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition – a network of over 500 private corporations, NGOs and donors – to look specifically at the barriers to scaling up use of this important drug.
