We want to make sure that the funding system for children and young people with special education needs and disabilities is working effectively to get money to the right places at the right time, and have launched a call for evidence: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/send-and-ap-provision-call-for-evidence. The aim is to gather the information necessary to make improvements where they are needed, and particularly so that we can identify and address any perverse incentives in the financial arrangements. This includes gathering information on the notional funding of £6,000 and how it operates.
