Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many shipbuilding contracts have been awarded to industry since the National Shipbuilding Strategy Refresh was published.

Since the launch of the National Shipbuilding Strategy Refresh on 10 March 2022, the UK Government has awarded industry eleven shipbuilding and support contracts worth approximately £7.8 billion. This covers contracts awarded by central government and arm’s length bodies.
