Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much funding his Department has allocated for the Wraparound Childcare scheme in the 2022-23 financial year.

On the 29 July 2022 the Defence Secretary announced the full UK rollout of the Wraparound Childcare (WAC) scheme, commencing from the beginning of the school autumn term this year. Within the first year of a full UK rollout of the Wraparound Childcare scheme, it is estimated that up to twenty thousand children could benefit and up to £64 million has been set aside for the 2022-23 financial year to meet this potential demand.
