Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 15 June 2015 to Question 1334, what the cost was of the research on prisoners' clothing and their self-esteem; and for what reasons the study was not sufficiently large to meet the quality assurance process required by the National Offender Management Service for publication.

The study did not incur any cost as it was undertaken as part of the standard duties of an in-house trainee psychologist. The sample size was sufficient for the academic aims of the study; the statistical analysis was not adequately robust, however, for national publication.
