Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the average length of time is for processing an application to the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy scheme.

The Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) scheme was launched on 1 April 2021 and is one of the most generous relocation programmes in the world. It is not time-limited and will endure, facilitating the relocation of eligible Afghans and their families.

Information on the average time taken to process an application is not currently available. We are working at pace to consider each application on a case-by-case basis and timelines for processing applications vary significantly from case to case, due to the complexity and personal circumstances of each applicant.
