Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether he has taken steps to increase the UK’s stockpiles of anti-radiation medication since February 2022.

The Department of Health and Social Care maintains a stock of Stable Iodine for the UK. The UK Armed Forces also holds supplies of Stable Iodine sufficient for a Joint Medium Force. The military has not taken steps to increase its supply of Iodine or any other radioprotectants.
