Shipbuilding: Departmental Coordination

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will publish the membership of the inter-ministerial group on shipbuilding.

The Inter-Ministerial Group (IMG) on Shipbuilding is chaired by the Defence Secretary as Shipbuilding Tsar. Attendance at the IMG varies depending on the agenda but will normally include representation from the following Departments:
- Ministry of Defence
- Home Office
- His Majesty’s Treasury
- Department for Transport
- Department for Business and Trade
- Department for Education
- Department for Energy Security and Net Zero
- Department for Science, Innovation and Technology
The IMG meets on a bi-annual basis and met on 26 April and 28 November 2023.
