USA: Trident Submarines

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether he has had recent discussions with his US counterpart on extending the maintenance contract for Trident at Kings Bay in Georgia, USA.
This question was answered on 20th September 2022
The maintenance of Trident missiles is managed under the 1963 Polaris Sales Agreement (amended for Trident in 1982) between the United States of America and United Kingdom. I have not discussed changing this maintenance arrangement with US colleagues.
