Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether his Department audit claims made by prime contractors on social value which are bidding for MOD contracts.

The Ministry of Defence evaluates suppliers' social value proposals as part of the tender process and in accordance with published scoring criteria. The winning tenderer's social value obligations are subsequently monitored and managed throughout the life of the contract as part of the contract management process.
