The Ministry of Justice is open to considering proposals to give a greater influence over criminal justice to local areas where the evidence shows this will make local justice more effective. As an independent Prosecutor, the Crown Prosecution Service is not the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice but is superintended ‎by the Attorney General.
