Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the security of British F-35s due to reports in the US that raw materials used for a component in that jet were produced in China.
This question was answered on 28th September 2022
The Ministry of Defence's assessment is there are no security implications for the UK's F-35 Lightning Fleet arising from the use of raw materials that are non-compliant with the United States Government's acquisition regulations.
