Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent discussions his Department has had with GKN on the future of the workforce at that company's Yeovil helicopter plant.

It is not for the Ministry of Defence to comment on a commercial decision not directly related to one of its programmes. The Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy is in contact with GKN and stands ready to support affected workers where possible.
