Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment has he made of the potential effect of Russian disinformation campaigns in Balkan states on (a) regional and (b) UK security.

Russia spreads disinformation and actively seeks to increase instability in the Western Balkans, aiming to hamper Euro-Atlantic integration. Paying only lip service to sovereignty and territorial integrity, Russia threatens the rules-based international system.

The UK will continue to call out and attribute Russian aggression and malign influence.

We will bring our full capabilities to bear against adversaries who seek to undermine our collective security.
